my dad came up and we had lots of fun adventures. we went to a redhawks game one night and the redhawks lost, unfortunately. but it was still fun and there was an awesome fireworks show at the end! like a serious fireworks show, not just a few fireworks. i am not sure if that is something they do at every game or not, but i enjoyed it!
on saturday i also introduced him to the deliciousness of spicy pickle and then we headed to a park i have never heard of called martin park. it was a really cool hidden nature center! there were lots of paths to explore as well as different signs and things that kids can read and learn about different plants. there was a river/creek that went through most of it that had lots of ducks, geese, fish and turtles. they even had fish food dispensers! when we were headed back to the car we were discussing how we did not see many animals that werent in the water. right after we said that, four deers walked right in front of us! it was really cool and i enjoyed it a lot.
on easter we ate a delicious brunch at cheever's. i cant wait to go back! yummmm.
