the dancing laura

last thursday i ate my first macaroon, and i must say, i think they are over rated. yes, they were yummy. and yes, they were pretty. and yes, i would definitely eat them again, but i still prefer a cupcake. cupcakes, i am on your side!

and now for some photos from the two football games handsome and i were able to enjoy! queso was involved during both games as well as lots of laughing. we had a great time during both of our visits and loved being able to hang out and see everyone. i have missed everyone so much!

preparing for the filming of greatest tailgater! i still think laura is the greatest!

and here is the dancing laura! i dont think handsome was aware of all the fun that was happening next to him. love it!

next up, ou/tx! super excited!

day 23 (birthday recap)

my birthday was shared with halloween celebrations as well as a football game and i was initially not looking forward to that because i knew all my friends would have tons of things planned, but it turned out great and i loved the entire day!

handsome took me on a surprise birthday brunch at cafe do brazil and it was mm mmm good! i have become absolutely obsessed with eggs benedict lately. in fact, i am craving some at this very moment!

i cant remember what handsomes meal was called, but it made very delicious little burritos.

and they gave us a super delicious birthday dessert! handsome was hoping the whole time that they would bring one out. it was the perfect end to a perfect brunch!

we did some tailgating and cylen joined! that thing on my head would be a super awesome sparkly bat headband that bailey gave me! perfect timing for halloween!!!

then we went to seven47 to watch the game! i was pretty much distracted the entire time though.

meg took a quick break from her law school studies to make an appearance! i love her and wish that we were able to hang out much more.

cristinas sister abby turned 21 only a few days before my birthday, so i decided she needed a birthday shot. i think she loved it!

some pharmacy girls! well abby isnt one yet, but she is in the application process!

my loves!

the amazing cupcakes lindsey and paul gave me for my birthday! i was super excited about the spider ring because i was telling handsome earlier in the day that i wished more than anything that my spider rings were neon green. they must have known! they were also the most perfect dessert to eat at moonic the following evening.

i am thankful to be back

i had a huge freak out towards the end of the week last week. (even my word of the day on friday, axiomatic, couldnt save me) i feel that each of you can relate or at least understand how tramatic it was. basically, i somehow got locked out of all my google accounts. email, reader and even my blog! it was horrible! my first thought was "omg if someone stole my password they now have access to all of my banking information!" my second thought was "omg how will i ever get back into my blog?! it could be ruined forever!" and then i decided to try and calm down and come up with a solution. well, it was impossible to reset my password. google would not even let me do that! when i realized the reality of the situation i felt like i had to give up, but not before trying to save the blog of course. luckily firefox decided to keep me logged in so i was able to create a new google account and make myself a second author. at least that way i would be able to update. the whole thing was very irritating regardless of the author addition. i waited a few days and decided to try to reset my password again and guess what, it worked!!!! i freaked out for days for no reason! i am just super excited that all is resolved. i even deleted the second author in celebration!

and with that, i will leave you with an image of my dad bowling. because he came up and visited me this weekend and survived the student section in extreme heat. we had a great time. we won the game. he helped me get things situated for the ASHP midyear meeting in december. all was grand, great and enjoyable! unfortunately i failed to take any pictures because i was too busy shielding myself with an army themed flag.

i LOVE splenda in tea. thank you alisha. and thank you entire pot of tea i just drank. just please let me get to sleep tonight!

craving adventure

my life recently has been filled with irritations, but i can feel them going away as each day passes. thank goodness for that! twelve more work days are left in the clinic which means i am almost twelve days closer to having another rotation down. this will make four completed months out of the six that i have before i finally get a much needed break.

"For me, the adventures of the mind, each inflection of thought, each movement, nuance, growth, discovery, is a source of exhilaration."
~Anais Nin

thank you anais for helping me modify my views on adventure. soon i will be able to have what i would consider to be a real one. 2 months 16 days!

i love being able to see people i have not been able to see very often. i loved every minute i got to spend with them and we got to pretend we were german! woo hoo!!!

there is nothing i love more than being hungry and having free food handed to me like halloween candy. perfect way to satisfy my stomach and purse all in one try!

i am posting this picture not only because i love alisha, but because i realized it had been months since i posted a picture of people. crazy of me! i guess my main focus has been choosing what wonderful thing i can eat in order to drown out the exhaustion i have due to rotations. i wore my tulip skirt to the first game and it was perfect! i just wish you could see it in the picture. and also wish that i would remember to take pictures with people instead of only food. oh well, we all have things we need to work on!

it feels like football season was forever ago. i am so happy to be welcoming it back! the only thing i could ask for that would make it better is espn. or have a tv. the tv part is the first step.

this was one of the greatest dinners ever! laying in bed watching a movie while eating bread with brie and hummus. i then continued to bring brie for lunch until my wee brie wheel was all gone (it only took one day haha). i will soon be purchasing more!

My Arms...

...got a bit saggy towards the end of the night.

i learned that fishing line apparently stretches. i guess it has to have some sort of give in order to catch fish.

my stuffed arms are so talented that they can point for the chant too!

all i have to say is, leaving the game at half time to hang out with jessica while eating yummy queso and burgers and drinking swirls = best idea ever!

i could do nothing else but die laughing when i first opened the car door and saw brad.

based on this picture, i learned that the most amazing jello shots ever severely dye your tongue. and fingers. yes, i had to use my fingers. they were way too big to swallow whole! or even in half for that matter.

i also learned that you cant swing from a willow tree like tarzan. even if you hold onto thicker branches and bunch multiple together. the only thing that will come out of it is bark in your eye. and a broken branch in your hands. trust me, bark in your eye is not the most fun. dont worry, that weak willow tree didnt cause any severe damage. i still have my eye!

one thing i wish i got a picture of is my sequin/glitter things that i would throw around on unsuspecting people. those people being my friends because i didnt want to disturb others. at least directly that is. i would also rather them just see it and think its magical. because it was!

Still Hating Orange

we kicked off our "fall break" thursday night by renting kung fu panda from red box. i was the only one who hadnt seen it and i was also the only one who slept through almost the entire thing! (dont worry, i watched it the next morning before hitting the road)

whenever i see sunroofs, i think of the girl in final destination 3d almost getting her head cut off.

brads family saw kristin chenoweth at dinner friday night! im so jealous! brad even suggested going to the same place to eat! so close!

what was the first thing we saw when we got to our hotel? besides a huge suv clearly unable to fit in the parking garage because they almost knocked off the clearance sign hanging in the entrance? a texas fan with her pants so far down that her butt crack was hanging out! very nasty sight. multiple people, including brad, took a picture. i seriously have no idea how she didnt notice.

the air conditioning in our room wasnt working so we had to switch. thank goodness there was one open! i think i would have died in that extremely hot room.
we ran into clarence! hes now married!!!!!

the night was filled with tracy not wanting to compromise and deciding to order a pizza for herself, one round of very nasty seven dollar shots, being the center of dance circles in the middle of the street, having boomer the horse do backflips, tracy and brad being pushed by the cops for talking, me running into someone who apparently has my phone number yet i dont remember ever meeting him, apologizing to reggie smith for brad being creepy and pointing at him while screaming his name and brad not being allowed to go to a party because of his attire.

there was also some playing in fountains.

and kissing rosa parks.

i guess tracy, brad and i had way too much wine to drink before going out? lets just say, i awoke saturday morning with an extreme urge to vomit everywhere. i guess i was a good alarm clock for tracy since i woke her up with my gagging and spitting. all in all, it was a very fun night!

the game was fun saturday, i just wish it turned out in our favor. i just hope same is ok. i learned that funnel cakes are extremely messy. tracy and i were covered in powdered sugar. we also walked miles to other train stops because brad was smart and found a way to skip a seriously three, four or even longer hour line. we sure worked off that funnel cake with all the standing and walking we did!

i know lots of other funny things happened, but unfortunately, i cant remember them. but what i can say is, i can no longer listen to the miley cyrus song, party in the usa. i just cant do it.

Lovely Laura.

i had so much fun with laura this past weekend and wish she could have stayed forever! it felt like she never left and i loved it so much!

now for millions of pictures. i really did try to narrow it down, but i really couldnt. i actually wish i had taken more!

i would say that i will work on not loving so much, but why would i stop?! i just love sharing things that i love with other people and laura is pretty high up on the love list!

she finally got here! we greeted her with signs that we worked very hard on making while in the car. that isnt a random stick in tracys hand either. she bought a really cool handmade broom at the art walk!

i love toms.

i love pitas.

doesnt everyone need an "insulate your relationship" koozie?

i dont think i will ever understand why gameday shots are so tiny! we fixed the problem by each getting two.

i made them sit so i could take a self taken picture. for some reason self pictures are some of my favorites.

...and the hoooommee of ttthhee SOONERS!!!!!!!!!

were classy.

brad takes forever to get anywhere so we had to wait. i think i was seriously about to become a popsicle.

can you tell how freezing we are? we waited a very long time for our table at tarhumaras and it was well worth it! i think it was seriously 40 degrees. our frozen drinks didnt help with the freezing factor, but they were yummy!

like i said...freezing.

some fun while waiting for our table. i think it also kept us warmer.

love.
