Oh For The Love Of Skating

so, i know i already posted once today, but i felt that it was very necessary to do so again. you will see why.

this afternoon i took the 9 year old and 5 year old i nanny to the rollerskating rink. i must say, BLAST FROM THE PAST! gosh, what a great time the 90s were! all the disco lights and skating around with your friends. holding hands with little boys you didnt know for the couples dance. playing red light green light. those were the days!

i must say, they have changed a bit. they still have the disco lights/balls and the odd designs painted on the walls, but there is now an added bonus. music videos projected onto the wall! wow, i think i would have love that! i mean, i loved it today, so i assume i would have loved it then. however, they did not play the music videos for every single song they played. i think they should, but they didnt ask me. there also wasnt a way to request songs. i remember that was always one of my favorite things to do. i dont remember what songs i used to request.....i bet mmm bop was one.....but anyway. now its time for my real excitement. you will never guess what was projected onto the wall. THRILLER! yes, i am talking about the whole 15 minute video! it was amazing! you should have seen all the little kids gathering around the wall it was projected on instead of skating. it was crazy! you could tell that they were very intrigued and loved it! they even clapped at screamed when it was over because they thought it was so good! i must say, i was very glad they felt that way! leigha did run/skate quickly to me to tell me how parts of it scared her though. it also made me wish the whole ps was there to experience it with me. can you even imagine performing thriller dance on rollerskates?!?! with the whole video playing in the background?!?! i think it would be extreme! extremely amazing that is!

now this my friends, is some intense rollerskating!
