saturday
how many cities can you live in where endangered cranes are trying to build nests in the trees of your backyard?
sunday
i once was attacked/bitten by a lizard like this...i ended up accidentally throwing it into a glass door
my moms chicken that lives at her friends house. the company sent the wrong one. it was supposed to have long legs and fluffy feathers on top of its head that covers its eyes, causing it to act weird. it is still loved regardless of the mix up.
you would be surprised. chickens like melons too.
this picture saddens me greatly. i would not have posted or even taken a picture of it for that matter except that it kind of reminded me of laura. not because i think she is anything like a dead, well really smashed, beautiful bird though. just because she was with me when i once saw a dead baby bird and seriously thought it was a plastic toy. laura, this is for you! haha
monday
anyone want some potato skins? i think this inventory is a bit out of control. karen was very much in agreement. and yes, it does extend behind her.
tuesday
thats right! hardly any traffic on the on ramp to i-35 north! i was appalled and very excited to not have to sit on the bridge for 30 minutes sweating to death in 100+ degree weather with the air off! (my car will overheat if i keep the air on)
wednesday
your eyes are not fooling you. this squirrel really is eating sugar out of sugar packets
and munching on chips
today brig and i celebrated her birthday, once again, by eating taco salads and drinking flavored margs at la luna! so delish! they have 10 different flavors, not including swirl and regular. my goal is to have all 10 at one happy hour. i know it will not be achieved however since brig and i passed out for nearly 3 hours afterward and woke only because jess called me at 930! and i had only had three that time. sorry flavors, i think i may have to divide you into at least 3 visits!
i also made her a very delish german chocolate cake! i have been snacking on it for the past few days. my goal was to not each so many sweets, but its hard when you always need/want/desire to celebrate something!
we finished the night with the not so great movie "knowing". sorry to ruin it for you, but aliens? really? surely movie writers could be a bit more creative in this day and age.
overall though, a great time with a great friend! love you brig!
thursday
finally! talking to callie again! and planning our harry potter adventure that i am so very excited about! and listening to the sheree chamberlain band. very enjoyable!
friday
i had to get tulip new food since they dont make the kind i usually buy her anymore. unfortunately, she does not seem to like it. fortunately, she doesnt dump her bowl over anymore to eat only her favorite pieces. and she doesnt seem to go through near as much food (for now). i cant decide which way i would rather have it though.
saturday
nanny day filled with swimming, watching ninja turtles, and trying to teach a five year old how to ride a bike without training wheels for the first time. what more could you ask for?
well, you could ask for a glittery kitten sticker like the one i am sporting, courtesy of leigha.

love.
love.
