"each friend represents a world in us...

...a world not possibly born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." -anais nin

i miss what i have left behind a lot. my friends, my favorite places, my apartment, my familiarity with my surroundings and relationships. i am working on shifting my thoughts/feelings/opinions to positive ones and the anais nin quote above is very helpful in this process.

this next year has so many opportunities that i am not even aware of yet. so many possibilities of growth within myself and the ability to learn and practice what i love the most in my field. i feel that it will be a good year (my first day of orientation was today and it went well!), but still filled with longing.

before i left oklahoma, i drove around town and took pictures of some of my favorite places and places where i spent a lot of my time when i was not up at school or at my apartment. and here they are, my life the past four/six years in locations!

alisha and i have spent a lot of time studying here (except monday nights because they are closed). i also cannot tell you how many boom boom pow cupcakes i have enjoyed because there have been way too many. i am thinking about trying to recreate their deliciousness since they are no longer near by. love them!

the paseo arts district.
i loved walking around during the first friday of the month art walks. i would also drive through  the area randomly because i enjoy it. about a year ago i would do yoga at a place called the art of yoga (before my schedule was busy). it then suddenly disappeared. i am not sure what happened to it, but i did not like that it left.

picasso cafe. (located in the paseo district)
i ate brunch here with my sister and dad once and found it delicious. after that, alisha and i would sit on their couches and study while consuming large amounts of coffee. i found it very enjoyable!

i love their queso, their amazing quesadillas, and also their wojo and crispycado tacos. the omg sauce is also super amazing and delicious when used on everything! nothing else to say but love! i ate here all the time whenever i wanted something yummy to eat. once i even stopped by  enjoy  only a nice bowl of queso. what can i say, when you find something delish, keep eating it!

red cup. (i am not sure why this is italicized, it wouldnt let me fix it!)
i occassionally came here to study and enjoy a glass of peach tea. it also saved me from my lack of power i experienced about a week ago. very laid back, relaxing and enjoyable place.

the willow tree.
*sigh*......so many amazing times and wonderful memories. love!

there were many dinner breaks with alisha to enjoy pizza. alisha loves pizza. and she loves marinara sauce. always a wonderful dinner!

if you live in norman, you have to love the mont. they are the only place that makes the best swirls. and queso with a swirl is also wonderful! i also love their blt's. they put the perfect amount of bacon on them. and as we all know, the bacon is a very important part of the blt!

i never spent much time here, but i did enjoy watching hosty perform on sunday nights. handsome and i consider it to be a special place since we started talking after we met here one night.

and of course, there is the pink elephant. the most delicious and most loved place in the world! i dont think i need to say more.

tarahumaras.
i have stuffed my face to extreme amounts at this place. very delicious!

i love eating here and studying here. sometimes i would ride my bike here and study all afternoon on the patio. perfect! i am sad that i didnt stop by for a bite to eat before i left town. i will have to come enjoy it the next time i am in town for a visit!

i would go here a lot to hang out because i liked their drink specials, sweet potato fries, calamari, and quesadillas. i have also enjoyed a few wine tastings here. if there is one thing i like, it is relaxing and hanging out with enjoyable people. i always felt this was a good place for that.

there are many other places i enjoyed too, but these are the ones where i spent the most time. i love them and will miss them dearly! hopefully i will find similar places over the next year. i have faith!

love.
