Old?

i spent a lovely afternoon at the pool today. i was a bit disappointed that i felt like i couldnt stay longer because of the heat. usually i can stay for four, five, six hours and enjoy every moment, but for some reason, today i was extraordinarily hot and had to leave after only 2.5 hours!

anyway. the pool today was playing great music. usually they play the radio station with ryan seacrest (whom i cannot stand) and you end up hearing the same five songs looped hundreds of times. today, i showed up. got my ipod out. and was about to put my earbuds in when i noticed that i liked the music they were playing. it involved lots of kings of leon and bob marley. what a great surprise!

now for the real point of this story. i was floating around on my floaty (the kind with mesh so you are still in the water and cool instead of being scorching hot) reading breaking dawn and i could hear a side conversation. this guy was talking to this girl about how his friend was moving near campus corner and was paying a ridiculous amount for rent. he then started talking about how next year he would love the be near campus corner because he will be 21 and would love to just be able to walk to the bars. this made me realize that at this time next year i will be 23. 23! i know that isnt very old, but it sounds old. and it makes me feel really old when everyone at the pool is way younger. maybe i should move to okc with all the older people. and all the pharmacy people. hah! that would never happen. at least not while in school with the pharmacy people.
