i saw this picture and it reminded me of how crazy i was about rings when i was in the fifth grade. and by crazy about rings i mean i wore so many they would begin to double up on fingers because, naturally, i had to wear them all at one time! honestly, who wouldnt wear all of their rings at one time?!
there is one specific incident however, that made me discontinue the wearing of my many rings all at once. it began when my sister and i were on an airplane headed to kansas city to visit our grandparents. i think it may have also been our first time to fly without the parents because we had to wear those weird underage necklace things. i, of course, had to wear ALL of my rings. why would i leave one or multiple at home if my fingers can all hold them just fine? well, they may be able to hold them fine, but only fine. as in, not fine enough to be very successful. it came time for the landing and the next thing i knew, all my rings flew off and were rolling all the way to the front of the plane! (and by all the way to the front of the plane, i mean as far as they would roll before getting stuck on peoples purses and other belongings they had underneath their seat). we were sitting in the very back. the furthest back you could go before you were sitting in the lavatory. i then had to ask everyone to look for my rings and hand them to me as we taxied into the gate. i dont think i wore them on the plane ride home. or if i did, i made sure to have clenched fists during the landing.
i do love this picture though. and all of the rings. they are all so beautiful in their own way. dont worry, i wont be going back to wearing them on every finger. or multiple on a single finger. i have learned my lesson.
love.
Umm... I did the same thing in the 7th grade!! I wore atleast one one each finger and two on e a couple!!! I stopped when someone made fun of me...
