Alligators, Hats, Cleaning and Cupcakes!

tomorrow is the day of fixing up the cottage! clean cottage here we come! not that it was really all that dirty to begin with, but i did make a little mess with peppers and cilantro when i made amazing queso the other night! and i think its about time that i put my food in the pantry. i mean, i have lived here for almost a month now!

brig and i have decided exactly what we want our table to look like and im so excited about it! that is one of the projects that we are excited to finish. and not just because we will finally have a table to eat on, play games on, craft on, sew on, etc. it will also be beautiful and add much personality! not that we NEED to add more personality because it already has a lot, but who doesnt like more? haha i completely forgot to take a before picture and since i have already painted it there cant be one, unfortunately. but i will take one before we complete the art that it will have on it!

callie and i woke up today and were able to be graced by the beautiful sound of lauras voice while she waited for her connecting flight in DC. i cant believe her new and exciting journey has alreaday began! im so proud of you laura!

i then was a kind friend and brought callie breakfast/brunch in bed. it consisted of a very delicious chocolate cupcake (she brought them the night before) that was of course fourth of july themed (laura)! haha she loved it and she knows it!

monday

i know that i was taking pictures of the day, but today i just felt like i needed a video.

i was just laying on my floaty minding my own business and reading when the next thing i know, brig is attacking me like an alligator! it was quite frightening, but i survived! i then made her reinact it for video.

i wore my swimming cap to the pool today to protect my kind of freshly dyed dark hair from turning a gross and disturbing color in the sun. it gave me a very strange tan line around my hair line haha! im really surprised megan wasnt too embarrassed by me. or that i wasnt embarrassed by me for that matter! i mean, i really looked like a strange bird thing.....i think people were staring. i would be! haha

i also ordered a large hat online to wear when i am nannying and am out in the sun for prolonged periods of time or when i go anywhere because its so amazing! can you tell im paranoid that my hair will change colors?! haha malachi did tell me the other day that my hair looked red when i stood under a tree. that was the LAST thing i wanted to hear! so naturally, i decided to take precautionary measures to prevent the red progression. what is more amazing about this hat is that it is a natural straw color so it will go with every outfit in the world! just like my chacos go with every outfit in the world! (however my sister disagrees with me on that one). and tie dye goes with every outfit in the world! a really amazing outfit would involve the hat, chacos and tie dye all in one! i have a feeling that it is going to be a staple item in my wardrobe this summer. if only i could wear it to class in the fall.....

today was a very amazing and relaxing day. i would write about it but i decided to not bring my purse (weird i know!) when we went out so my pictures from the day are on callies camera! it just wouldnt be the same without them!
