home!

i am excited to announce that we are finally in our mountain home in colorado! it has been absolutely amazing being able to wake up and sit on the porch overlooking the mountains. i have missed blogging very much and am very excited to be getting back to it! i have also decided that i will be starting a new blog that will not go live until the wedding. i am still keeping this blog active because i love all of the memories it holds, but i feel like i have reached a time when i need to start new and fresh. the only posts that i will be moving over are my monthly macaroni recipes (because i will be picking this up again!) and my pursuits of favorites (because there are still many colorado favorites to be found!) i will post the link to my new blog when the day gets closer. i have missed you guys!

there is a rainbow on the horizon. scheduled to come june 30th.

i woke up excited to have a mug (my favorite christmas mug!) full of chai tea latte while working in bed. i only have 2 tablespoons of milk.

i woke up and finished working relatively early before i need to actually go to work physically and started craving waffles. i have no eggs.

things will get better! i will go to the store in a bit and get some milk! maybe not eggs though since it will be quite awhile until i can make waffles. unless they get made for dinner. we shall see!

on another exciting note. only 118 days until moving day!

missing out on my chai tea latte made me crave the delicious frozen coffee and beignets from cafe du monde. that stuff is seriously delicious!

yay for packages!

i am a horrible online shopper. i find lots of cute things i love and then freak out when it's time to click buy. sometimes i debate so long about the purchase that what i love ends up going out of stock while it's in my shopping cart! part of it is caused by the fact that i feel like i always need to try something on before i buy it. i wear anywhere from a small to a large and i never know where i will fall on the sizing scale and i never want to deal with returning something through the mail because it didnt fit.

so now for the excitement, i made a few online purchases last week and they came in the mail today!!! i have had my eye on yellow twine and straws for the wedding since june and i finally purchased them! i also got some cute yellow puff ball ban.do shoe clips for the wedding and a really cute dress from ruche for one of the showers! and guess what....the dress fits perfectly! and matches the wedding well too! i am super excited about everything! here are some photos. i dont have one of the dress, but it can be found here.

im back!

my resolution at the completion with residency is to resume normal blogging! i miss it terribly. not just documenting my own stuff, but also reading some of my favorites. i am also thinking that i may start this new phase by creating a new blog. we will see!

here are some updates from the past few months!

1. laura gave me some money for my birthday to pay for my first year of additional photo storage on the blog! im super excited to be able to share my photos with you again!

2. handsome and i bought our wedding bands! i was VERY against having diamonds to a point that i cannot even explain, but after trying on so many different bands, i ended up falling for them. that's right, i fell for the diamonds! i am a bit disgusted with myself, but i know it will match my engagement ring very well since it is being made to match. we saw the final products on february 18th and they are wonderful!

3. karen found her bridesmaid dress! it is the perfect color, the perfect fabric, the perfect texture and the perfect price! i could not have found something better. and she found great shoes too! if only i could find the perfect shoes.

4. i found my bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding in june!

5. i have almost fully completed the wording for the wedding program! the next step is my mom sewing them all together!

6. i completed the wording for the wedding invitation and rsvp card and they are ready for printing!

7. lots of ribbon has been purchased and cut to begin the construction of the wedding wands for the ceremony!

8. at this point there are no jobs on the horizon. as in no jobs open that i am interested in. i was pretty negative about this situation for the past few months, but i have recently found a surge of positivity and have decided not to worry about it. everything is going to work out exactly how it is supposed to and i have complete faith in that statement!

9. i have finally found someone to cut my hair in little rock who understands what real bangs are and is respectful of the fact that i do not want to be kim kardashian.

10. i found a dress to wear for either a shower or the welcome dinner! i havent decided which event yet.

only five months left and there are more exciting things to come!

frustrations!

so, blogger wont let me upload anymore photos. it says i have reached my limit. (limit? what limit?!) apparently there is a photo uploading limit and i have reached it. even after deleting a ton i am still using up 99.57% of my space! unless i pay, of course. always about the money! so until i figure out a solution, i will not be able to update and will become even more behind, as if having not blogged eating adventures dating all the way back to march was not intimidating enough. and blogging without photos is not an option for me. if you can help me find a solution it would be greatly appreciated!

the dancing laura

last thursday i ate my first macaroon, and i must say, i think they are over rated. yes, they were yummy. and yes, they were pretty. and yes, i would definitely eat them again, but i still prefer a cupcake. cupcakes, i am on your side!

and now for some photos from the two football games handsome and i were able to enjoy! queso was involved during both games as well as lots of laughing. we had a great time during both of our visits and loved being able to hang out and see everyone. i have missed everyone so much!
