Feasible?

i watched the second sisterhood of the traveling pants last night. i must say, i am very jealous of alexis bledels hair! i wish my hair would curl and then bounce all cute like when i walked! maybe some days i wont be lazy and try to train my hair to curl like it used to.

going to greece would also be nice.

i have been very lucky this week to be able to spend a lot of time with tracy and carolyn. i must say, i loved every moment of it! lots of laughing. lots of imagination. lots of fun. lots of love. im sad that yall had to leave for utah today. i already miss you! love you both!

FULL MOON!!!

tonight is the full moon and i cant wait!!!! i havent gone to a full moon meditation since april and i feel like i really need it right now. i hope we do meditations that i enjoy and ones that dont involve difficult positions. i also hope the versions of the mantras we do are beautiful!

so, with the rules, i have to tell 10 things about myself that most people dont know and then pass it on to 10 (im not sure if i have 10 yet, but i will try my hardest!). here is goes! (i didnt think it would be hard to think of things, but it really is. i think mainly my closest friends know these things)

1. i love vegan cupcakes! i bought a vegan cupcake cookbook a year ago and love it. unfortunately i havent baked any recently, but that should change soon! im also going to try and branch out to non-vegan baking.

2. within the next six months or so, crosses fingers, i should have a published case report hopefully in the journal of pediatric blood and cancer! my professor just needs to finish her part and then we have to submit it!

3. i am obsessed with how my eyebrows look, and notice other peoples. it took me a long time to embrace mine, they seriously look like peter gallagher's if left alone, but now that i know how to tame them and would never trade them. i love them!

4. my natural hair color looks like a rotting tree stump and i wish it was naturally dark brown. my hair was naturally blonde and i dyed it in high school (which forever changed it) because i got tired of people telling me my hair color was fake and i also wondered what i would look like if my eyebrows and hair matched. i liked it more.

5. sometimes i really cant stand hanging out with pharmacy people. mainly because im around them all day everyday and then when we go out we always end up talking about pharmacy. its inevitable.

6. i like having diversity in my life. i think thats why some of my best friends focus on other fields, such as english, and why i fill my free time with different hobbies.

7. whenever i watch tv i dont actually watch it. i always have the tv on when studying for background noise. now, even though its summer and im not studying, when i turn the tv on its like a subconscious i should be doing something else at the same time and not pay attention takes over. im hoping that this fall glee will be able to hold my attention. based on the pilot episode, i dont think it will have a problem doing so!

8. i have been eating obnoxious amounts of blueberries as of late. im talking a pound every 4-5 days.

9. i have an obnoxious amount of decorations that hang on the wall. when i moved. i think i had an entire carload dedicated to them.

10. i drink a lot of chocolate soy milk. it serves so many purposes such as making french toast, dessert, a sweet snack in the middle of the day, and after pool cool down or just something to drink when i dont want water. i also only drink it out of two specific cups. you can definitely tell this is true because they are stained a different color. they are actually kind of gross looking. i dont expect others to use them.

What Did I Do?

i have had an extremely relaxing week. in fact, i have no idea where the week went, or what i have done. its a good thing i take a picture everyday to help me remember!

fridaybefore nannying i did an extreme amount of hand washing! i think i did like 6 dresses or something. obviously long awaited.

saturdayas you can tell from the floor, lots of crafting occurred. brig recovered her lamps and we began painting our sign and putting the beads we made on some purple wire!

i also stabbed fig for the first time.

what a nice relaxing night. i went on a third wheel date with brig and brian! haha

my amazing spinach and feta pretzel at my favorite, the library! it was a bit weird because it was the first time i didnt get beer. i got an lit instead. it was crazy strong. brian doesnt seem to understand the desire of photographing your food. it really is one of my favorite subjects.

i cant remember the name of the event, but every sunday there are live bands in the botanical gardens in okc. this band was labeled as having the genre "variety". we were unsure what that meant until we heard them. i must admit, they were not very good...at all. brian decided he had to leave and watch turtles instead, but me and brig made the best of it and still had a great time! i even managed to embarass brig with my singing! its a good thing brian was with the turtles at that point...
we laid in grass. (there were so many attempts at taking this picture. brig finally had to hold the camera so that i wouldnt cut myself out of it. what can i say, i just like to make sure my friends are included!)

it is the perfect fluffy kind of grass that feels heavenly.

at different points during the "concert", this security guard acted like things were going to get out of control and a bit rowdy. not in this crowd, man! not with this cover "band"!

brian really enjoyed watching the people in front of us dance.

mondaythis is not what i wanted to wake up to. it seriously rained the entire day...not the greatest of pool weather!

tuesday*sigh*, back to my summer haven!

wednesdaybabies! i seriously love them so much!

i also went to the sow with pharmacy people. two of my pa friends showed up too so i was excited! one of them is going to have to live my biggest fear, having to live in an abandoned hospital wing for a month because you are assigned a rotation in the middle of nowhere. i feel bad and am scared for her. besides that, i guess it was fun? i dont know. there was a lot of awkwardness for some reason. perhaps from the fact that two of the people used to be roommates and one was told to move out and did so earlier in the day.

thursday
brig and i were going to go to the art museum and then have drinks over looking the city, but we didnt feel like spending too much money. so we headed to the mont!

irish coffee (and severely pink staw in my water). i have had it before and it never seemed this strong....maybe its the heat? i know, why would we get a hot drink in the summer? well, because it went so well with the dessert!

fridaythats right! i finished eclipse! onto my fifth book of the summer and the last of the twilight series! or saga? i dont know, but you know what i mean!

Pure Enjoyment

this summer i have become completely sucked into pandora. i always enjoyed listening to it but for some reason it has been different. whenever i turn it on i cant help but really enjoy almost everything that plays and intently listen to each song. laying in bed. sitting at the table. sitting on the couch. laying on the floor. i feel like i cant even explain how music has been moving my insides lately. i would be content doing nothing but laying on the floor and listening to my favorite songs, and new ones that i am introduced to, all day. enjoying music is one of my favorite things. hippie swaying is also very enjoyable. i think this song is my favorite song of the summer. i hope you enjoy it as much as i do!

Favorites

last night i had a bad case of insomnia. i mean bad. it didnt matter that i was completely exhausted and felt like i couldnt keep my eyes open. i just could not sleep for the life of me. i tried reading. i tried reading blogs. i tried thinking. i tried counting. i even watched the oups video. anyway, the point of saying this is that in the midst of my insomnia, i came across this blog that just made me die laughing. i really enjoyed it. its called you are my fave. i think i love it mainly because it reminds me of myself. i have been made fun of sooo much for having so many favorite things. songs. bed risers. paper shredders. a situation. anything really. i mean, that is why my url is thatismyfavorite. it didnt just come out of nowhere! this girl, melanie, literally only writes about her favorite things! i just love it. and love that there is someone else out there who has the same amount of favorite things as i do. i think it might just be one of my favorite things.
